| 1937.
The Great Depression is in full swing and Prohibition has
recently been repealed. A young distillery equipment salesman
from Ohio named Cliff Buzick visits Bardstown, Kentucky, the
production center for America’s bourbon whiskey industry.
His sales pitch gets a warm reception. He makes a few sales.
Yet what he learns from his customers proves to be far more
valuable than the sales receipts they generate; there is no
one to install the expensive equipment.
Quick to seize this opportunity, he returns to Ohio, packs
up his family, and moves to Bardstown. Soon, a new office
opens in the historic, central Kentucky town - the Buzick
Construction Company.
Since its beginning in 1937, the Buzick Construction Company
has been an integral part of the distillery industry, having
built hundreds of whiskey warehouses and other industrial
structures for distilleries throughout Kentucky and Tennessee.
With some of those distilleries, Buzick has a working relationship
that goes back to the very beginning of the company, a testament
to their satisfaction with Buzick’s quality work.
In recent years, Buzick has expanded its client list to include
many industry giants in a wide range of fields. Today the
distillery trade accounts for less than half of Buzick’s
contracts due to the growth of other industries in the region.
However, this family-owned business has not let this growth
destroy its character or damage the excellent reputation it
has gained during its sixty plus years of quality work. Instead,
the commitment of Cliff Buzick, our founder, to give “quality
work on time” lives on in his successors, a commitment
that will make a real difference in the execution of your
project.
We’re the Buzick Construction Company, and we want
to work with you.
